I don't think there's a path directly into my network, but if the card in my PC is in range (more likely here than in the suburbs), I'm thinking the keys to the kingdom are accessible. My OS had been pretty wonky while I was running wireless, but now it seems to have stabilized. Parking requires a permit, but owners rent spaces, so it's a low bar. I'm also pretty close to a courtyard that has been converted into a parking lot where a new car with an out-of-state plate and some pretty sophisticated communications equipment has been hastily parking lately. There are any number of ways that the MAC could be spoofed or cloned and so it may only appear to be associated with a known network, and that concerns me because that's the strategy of a number of Wifi attacks. I've isolated the signal to a point between that apparent network and my wireless NIC. I live in a densely populated urban, highly wired international community where just finding a relatively tidy wireless configuration is a trial in itself, but lately there's been an new chipset showing up in my network infrastructure.
